Aly Beamer - Legal Assistant & Marketing Director

Aly has been working as the Legal Assistant to Shelby Loveless for over three years, focusing on Elder Law, Probate, and Real Estate. In addition to her legal work, she also serves as the firm’s Marketing Director, managing the firm’s marketing efforts and social media presence. Aly is proud to be part of the team and values the hands-on experience she’s gained over the years. She’s developed a real passion for both the legal field and marketing, and she’s excited to keep building her knowledge and skills in both areas.
A fourth-generation Lake Walean, Aly graduated from Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School with both her high school diploma and an AA degree from Polk State College. She’s currently on track to complete her bachelor’s degree in business administration in fall 2025. Looking ahead, she plans to earn her Real Estate License within the next year, with hopes of becoming a licensed real estate agent.
Outside of work and school, Aly enjoys an active personal life. She’s engaged to her fiancé, Kenzie Cockrell, and they spend lots of time with their energetic Australian Shepherd, Cooper. Aly has a passion for photography, a hobby she’s enjoyed for over five years, and she loves being outdoors, especially out on the lake, making memories with family and friends.

Melissa Shields - Florida Registered Paralegal

Melissa Shields, a Florida Registered Paralegal since April, 2008, has worked for Jim Weaver for more than 20 years. She worked side by side with Shelby Loveless for many of those years and now is very proud and happy to be working for her.
Melissa grew up in rural Pennsylvania, outside of Titusville, and moved to Lake Wales, Florida with her mother, two brothers, and one sister in 1983. She attended Lake Wales High School from 9th to 12th grade. Not long after she graduated high school, she married Clyde “Sandy” Shields, a native Lake Walean. The newlyweds moved to Umatilla, Florida, where they lived for four years before returning “home” to Lake Wales. Melissa and Sandy have two adult daughters, both who grew up in Lake Wales and graduated from Lake Wales High School, and six grandchildren, who all, thankfully, live close by and visit often.
After raising both daughters to school age, Melissa returned to college attending South Florida Community College, in Avon Park, Florida, in the year 2000. She continued to work part-time and attended school full time, and was very proud that she was not only inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Society, and was awarded the “Outstanding Student in Computer Science” award for 2002, but also graduated Summa Cum Laude with an A.A.S. degree in Computer Programming and Analysis in December 2002.
Not long after graduation, Melissa responded to a “help wanted” ad at a local law firm and the rest is history. Melissa was originally hired and trained to take over all of the real estate legal work in the office and that is what she continues to focus on to this day. Melissa assists the attorneys in other practice areas such as probate, commercial and business law, and estate planning, whenever she is needed.

Angela Oakes - Office Manager

Angela moved to Lake Wales in 2015 with her husband, Ed, leaving behind the snowy landscapes of Maine to embrace the warmth and charm of Florida. Together, they share a love for travel, with a personal goal of visiting every Major League Baseball stadium and exploring as many National Parks as possible. Locally, they enjoy starting their mornings with peaceful walks around Lake Wailes at sunrise, taking in the beauty of the area and staying active.
One of Angela’s greatest joys has been seeing her children and grandchildren follow them to Lake Wales, where they are now thriving as part of the community. Angela is grateful for the opportunity to work with a law firm that not only offers expert legal services but also makes a meaningful difference in the lives of its clients. She believes that true peace of mind comes from preparation, and she is proud to be part of a team where Jim and Shelby help guide clients through the important decisions that come with planning for the future.
Angela is also the current president of the Lake Wales Breakfast Rotary, where she enjoys dedicating her time to the club’s many events, service projects, and activities that help strengthen and uplift the local community.

Ken Robidoux - Legal Assistant

Ken brings six years of valuable experience in the legal field and is currently thriving in his role at Weaver Loveless Law, where he specializes in preparing estate planning documents. He is deeply appreciative of the firm’s supportive, family-like atmosphere and enjoys the opportunity to expand his knowledge, collaborate with his colleagues, and build meaningful connections within the community each day.
Originally from Minnesota, Ken is a proud graduate of Florida State University and has made Florida his home. Outside of his professional life, Ken is a devoted husband and father who cherishes spending time with his wife, son, and daughter. Whether enjoying family outings, attending his children’s activities, or simply spending quality time together at home, Ken values every moment with his loved ones. He also has a passion for sports and enjoys staying active through tennis and golf whenever he has the chance.

Shelley Dudley - Office Assistant

Shelley brings over twelve years of experience as a legal secretary, with a background in family law, estate planning, and real estate. She is dedicated to supporting clients and ensuring their legal needs are met with care and attention. Outside the office, Shelley enjoys traveling, photography, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering through Rotary International and other causes. She shares her home with her beloved black lab, Sammy. Shelley looks forward to welcoming you to Weaver Loveless Law and is always happy to assist with your administrative questions.
